Drowning: #2 risk for kids
Drowning is the second leading cause of injury death in children ages 1-14 years.
Children, especially small children, should be supervised at all times when near the pool or other open water. A responsible adult should be designated with the task.
If you are supervising children, stay focused, even if a lifeguard is present. Avoid using your phone, reading a book, and drinking alcohol.
Drowning occurs quickly and silently, so please stay aware.
